Tea Party Misinformation on 55KRC

Scott Nichols was on the Brian Thomas show on 55KRC spreading mistruths again about the incumbent candidates, and the endorsement meeting of the Clermont County Republican Central Committee.  Yes when asked incumbent candidates did say that they would not bow out of the race if not endorsed, that's true.  Why should they?

It's a PRIMARY ELECTION NOT A GENERAL ELECTION.

Scott Nichols said that Clermont County incumbents said "They would run against the endorsed candidate."  To the average person on the street this means they will run against the endorsed candidate in the general election, and that is simply not the case.

Incumbent candidates who do not win the PRIMARY can NOT run in the General Election, and they have every right to stay in the PRIMARY race.

Scott Nichols fails to do his research on the GOP rule change as well.  Brian Thomas had a guest on earlier that stated there are indeed exemptions to the rule:

Voters who were not old enough to have voted in previous elections.

Voters who moved from other states will haft to show they meet the requirements based on their voting from their home state.

Scott repeatedly tried to indicate that this rule would disenfranchise those who have served in the military on active duty.  ALL military active duty have the opportunity to vote absentee from there home state; there for the rule does NOT disenfranchise active duty military.

Scott Nichols wrong, misleading, and not the right choice for us.
