Proof from the Tea Party itself that it doesn't matter if an incumbent has done a good job or not there gunning for you! Why replace those who have served the county well, and held faithfully to the party principles?
"As you have heard me note, when it comes to local politics, the primary is the most important election in Clermont County. Why?
Because it has been years and years since a local Democrat or Independent challenger has won a contested race in a general election here. The primary decides nearly all contests.
If we keep electing the same old people and expecting different results, we are in for more disappointment and will continue leaving our nation in peril.
Multi-term incumbents grow further and further from the people as their positions become more and more entrenched. Why listen to constituents when you know you'll be reelected no matter what?
It is very difficult to push over a pyramid from the top. You have to start at the bottom. We need a re-set across all levels of government and a new group of principled
representatives to help begin rebuilding our country.
We are such a conservative stronghold here in Clermont! We should send forward principled leaders who will stand on the foundation of support we can provide. Not doing so makes about as much sense as entering a Yugo in the Indy 500.
Over 80% of districts across the country are one party dominated. Congress' approval rating is around 10-12%. Yet, nearly 84% of incumbents will be re-elected to office!
The people are allowing themselves to be fooled. They must wake up and begin breaking the ties that bind them. Any qualified challengers can step up in a primary. The question is whether the people will give those challengers a chance to win."
