55KRC: GOP Rule Change

The state GOP adopted a rule change that the Tea Party claims:

"is designed to keep Tea Party members and activists in other liberty groups out of the State party, and ensure Dewine's continued leadership."

This may or may not have been the purpose. On the one hand retroactive rules should never be adopted, and on the other hand it does insure that LOYAL Republicans remain in control of the Republican party.

Scott Nichols after all voted in the Democrat Primary in 2008 NOT the Republican. As a LOYAL Republican I would have never voted Democrat "Operation Chaos" or not. He is also known to resort to baseless accusations and childish behavior rather than stick to a professional and constructive debate. Is this how we want to be represented?

This is an email I received from a Tea Party attendee:

"I am not part of the Republican Central Committee but I have been attending the Tea Party meeting at the Holiday Inn. During the past year I have noticed a huge change with in the group. Twenty to thirty people have broke off and started this "Liberty PAC" to support their own agenda. This is extremely unfortunate. This "Liberty PAC" promotes three agenda's

1. Remove all current elected officials and do not speak with them to see if they support their values
2. Promote themselves- Self Promotion
3. Tear down a group of educated and public serving individuals that work in the Central Party

It is extremely unfortunate. They have created an us against them. I love this beautiful country that we live in and I ask the other Republicans in the County that are not part of this group to stand up for what has been and still is a great party. The promotion of self interest must stop. We know who is doing this and we must stop them from destroying the Republican Party. We have seen what they have done when they self support candidates.

Support the Republican values and not they "Liberty PAC values (self promotion)"

The Morning Show host Brian Thomas will explore the GOP rule change controversy tomorrow morning on 55KRC. At 7:05 he'll speak with Ohio Liberty council President Tom Zawiskowski. Then at 8:05, Brian will interview Scott Nichols about his race.

"Please take the time to listen tomorrow morning, and call into the show if you have the opportunity. This is an important issue, and the future of the State GOP is in the balance."

-Bob Turner
Clermont County Tea Party

The Tea Party is right! This is a "important issue" and the future of OUR State GOP is in the balance. Tell Brian Thomas at 55KRC, (513) 749-5500, rule change or not we don't want Scott Nichols representing OUR Party!
